In the Nordic Power Market, borders are being eliminated as a result of
governmental legislation. Power companies are now operating under new
conditions and a larger market for their trade. To operate this market,
a huge amount of data has to be interchanged between suppliers, grid
companies and system operators. A common standard for Electronic Data
Interchange (EDI) is therefore absolutely necessary.

Nordic Ediel GroupWas formed in 2003 to handle Nordic questions related
to date exchange in the energy market. The Nordic Ediel Group was founded
after Ediel Nordic Forum was reestablished as a pan European body under
